About

Introduction Development Refinement

We strive to create a supportive learning environment for all of our team members both in and out of practice. Climbing team is more than just a team, we are a community. Members are taught how to be competent, self-coached climbers through our combination of structured practice, outdoor climbing events, volunteer work, and competitions.

Our climbing team practices in three groups: Approach, Ascent, and Summit Team. All team members compete in both USA Climbing rope and bouldering seasons.

Want to join?

All climbing team members will need to purchase individual monthly memberships for either $45 a month + a monthly $45 team fee or be part of a family membership (up to 4 people) at $59 a month + a monthly $45 team fee.  All climbing team members receive: 10% off proshop purchases, free yoga, a monthly guest pass for a friend, facility use, instruction, and rentals.

Approach Team

Approach Team Monday and Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

Approach Team introduces team members to basic climbing techniques (edging, resting, belaying, etc.) for use in the competitive climbing seasons. We strive to teach kids to become responsible, informed climbers.  Approach Team gives kids an introduction to techniques that will be developed further in Ascent and Summit Team. By the end of their time with Approach Team, kids will understand and practice a Leave No Trace ethic, determine adequately difficult projects for themselves, and be active, competent members of the growing climbing community.
